Enchanted Forest Water Safari!

It’s where the fun never stops!  We took our annual day trip up to NY’s largest and most beloved water park earlier this week and we all agreed it was the beat day we’ve ever had there!  Reed rode all the water slides he could, Willa floated on the lazy river and we all had a blast!  We only have a couple photos snapped by the wandering photographers but so many more memories of this perfect day together💙

LEGO Everson Architecture Re-imagined Winner

Reed’s design was selected as the winner of the best interior design in the Everson’s LEGO architecture competition!  Reed worked so hard at his design, making observations, planning and securing the blocks he needed and creating custom blocks, building and re-building his model and submitting his application.  As a winner, Reed’s model was on display in the Everson. The only think that tops our pride in Reed’s accomplishment is the look of pride on his face when he saw his own art in the Everson for the first time!

Sunday Morning Cereal Killer!

Willa was delighted to choose Fruit Loops this past week at the grocery story and has been blissfully enjoying them all week!

Caught Red and Black Handed

Reed and Willa helped their mom pick raspberries at Navarino Orchards last week.  As is tradition, both kids ended up with more in their bellies than in their baskets!

A Truly Great Lake

Reed, Willa and their parents took a day trip up to Lake Ontario a few weeks ago. They started the day on the shores of Chimney Bluffs (the higher bluff trail was closed) and ended the day with a meal at Rudy’s and the Oswego shoreline.

Take a Hike!

Reed and his mom stole a few hours of time together on an afternoon to hike around Green and Round Lakes, one of their favorite local hikes.  They both appreciated the bright, clear water and cool wooded trails and mostly each other’s company on this walk.

No Slackers Here

Willa is no slacker when it comes to strength, agility and persistence. Even on the slack line.

See You Soon, Wakefield

We left Wakefield to head back to South Onondaga on a Sunday morning after a quick trip to the town park with Nana and one more visit with a sleeping May.  We can’t wait to go back but are also looking forward to reuniting with May in a month in Cape May for our annual family trip!

Boston Bound

During our weekend in Wakefield meeting May, we squeezed in a quick trip into Boston to see the sights. We walked the Freedom Trail from Boston Common to the U.S.S. Constitution with stops along the way for the ducks in Boston Public Garden, the New England Aquarium, lunch  in Faneuil Hall, cannolis (and a nap) on the North End and a quick cool off with a mister outside the U.S.S. Constitution.  It’s was a whirlwind of a day but we made the most of our short time in Boston!

Meeting Miss May Aurora

May Aurora was born early in the morning on July 12th!  Reed and Willa were thrilled to take a quick weekend trip to Wakefield, MA, where their Aunt Jenny, Uncle Kevin and first first-cousin May live. They got to meet May on the day after she was born and spent lots of time with her over the weekend.  Reed, in particular, loved holding Baby May and certainly established himself as the baby whisperer of the family, calming and cuddling her.
