Reed cleared a big hurdle two weeks ago when he had very positive kidney scans showing no signs of permanent damage. He saw his nephrologist and rheumatologist and they were both so pleased with his progress. He will continue with his blood pressure medication, mostly due to its protective effect on his kidneys, through his spring follow-up with the doctors. And, although his recent bout with walking pneumonia was certainly not welcome, the good news is that he is recovering quickly and it has not triggered a flare-up of HSP. Looking forward to continued health for this family.
