Green Lakes Hike with Reed
Reed and his parents were able to sneak away for a quick hike around Green and Round Lakes. These special times with just one kid are rare but certainly times to cherish.
Playground Day
Every spring break, Reed and Willa and their mom designate a day as “Playground Day” and play a round of mini-golf and then try to hit as many playgrounds as possible (usually at least 5) in one day. This year we went to Cherry Road Elementary, Walberta Elementary, King Park, Split Rock, Santoro Park and Shove Park. We also usually sneak in a sushi lunch in the middle of the day! It’s a fun but exhausting tradition!
Corning Museum of Glass
Reed, Willa and their parents took a day trip to the Corning Museum of Glass over spring break. They blew glass eggs, created fused glass art, watched glass working demonstrations and learned about the history of glass in both art and industrial usage. This was our second year going to the CMOG over Spring Break and this beloved adventure is certainly turning into an annual family tradition.
Going East
Reed and Willa spent an early spring afternoon at one of their favorite haunts, East Hill playground. They both had fun climbing and swinging and dunking on the (very short) basketball hoop. Reed also kindly tolerated spinning around so that his mother could work on panning with her camera!
Go Fly a Kite
On a windy day in April, Willa and Reed were very excited to take their kites out into the fields and fly them!
