Under the Rainbow

Willa recently expressed that she'd like to sleep under a rainbow, so with a little yarn and some knitting needles, magic happened and her wish has come true.

Breath of Fresh Air

Despite the recent cool, damp weather, we continue to keep the faith a few do believe that spring is right around the corner. 

Sick of Sickness

Reed, Willa and their parents had a miraculously healthy winter.  Then mid-March started.  A nasty cold went through the house which turned into a bad sinus infection for Willa and pneumonia for Reed.  We are finally getting our feet back under ourselves and the kids, at least, are certainly feeling much better.  Although we are all so dog tired of illness, even Stella Blue, this picture of Reed, taken 1 day after pneumonia diagnosis, just goes to show you that we haven't lost our spirit although we have lost a few nights' sleep.

Dashing Through the Snow

...on a 3-horse open sleight!  Reed, Willa, and their parents spent a delightful late-winter afternoon at Highland Forest. After taking a hike, we embarked on a sleigh ride through the woods.  We soaked in the final days of this remarkable winter and enjoyed sharing treats with the horse following the ride. All was fun, even with the "tinky fell" left behind by the horses, as noted repeatedly by Willa.

Monster Jammin'

For three months, Reed and Willa have been looking forward to this event and it did not disappoint! Reed and Willa's dad summed up our fabulous night at Monster Jam with the following comment: 

"Megan can't stop laughing. Reed is mesmerized and terrified. And Willa is so flat out excited about Monster Jam that I'm frankly a little bit scared..."

King and Queen of the Mountain

Reed and Willa (and Stella, too) were still playing on top of the giant pile of snow last week.  As much as we are all looking forward to a spring thaw, we will certainly miss having our own mountain right in our front yard!
