Still Winter...

Even as spring gets closer on the calendar, Mother Nature doesn’t seem to care. There’s still a lot of snow to play in here at the farm.

Skiing Season

This year, skiing really seemed to “click” for Reed and Willa and they both became more comfortable confident skiers who were willing and able to explore more trails and ski more challenging terrain! We are already looking forward to the next ski season (but are certainly happy to wait 9 months until next winter)!

Sharing is Caring

When one kid loses electronics and the other shares hers ❤️

This Kid...

...Always has patience and enthusiasm for his mama when she wants to play with her camera!

Mondaying

Mondays aren’t always the easiest for Willa, particular when it’s the Monday after winter break. And it’s really still wintery. But a cozy spot in front of the heat vent helps. A little.

Pancakes and Pajamas Party

Willa celebrated her 7th birthday with her friends at our house on a Sunday morning with a Pancakes and Pajamas party! The girls made Fruit Loop necklaces, played Pin the Butter on the Pancake and Breakfast Bingo, decorated sleep masks, smashed a donut piñata, ate pancakes and fruit and enjoyed birthday donuts instead of cupcakes! It was a sweet celebration of our favorite seven-year-old with her very sweet friends!

Old Dog, New Tricks

Reed, Willa and their mom decided to take Stella Blue for a walk on the Erie Canal trail. While Stella has many gifts, including the biggest heart and sweetest personality, walking on a leash is not her forte, particularly on an icy, slippery path. She takes daily walks at home but we have many acres and fields and she is off the leash always, under voice command. At the Erie Canal, we made slow but steady progress on the leash and vowed to return for more leashes walks. Once the ice melts, of course.
