This is Ten!

This kid.  One decade old.  This first picture is all him in this moment.  His freckles, pink shirt, hat head and those braces with that smile.  Ten years ago, a 4-pound person came into our life.  He’s made us laugh bigger, he’s made us cry harder, he’s made us love deeper and he’s made us care more about just being enough than we ever thought we would.  He made me us parents on 9/26/08.  Happy double digits to the boy we’d pick every single time❤️

The First Jack-o-Lantern

Willa became our first jack-o-lantern of the season when her front tooth, which has been loose since the beginning of her summer, finally fell out!

Tommy and Willa

Tommy and Willa.  A match made in heaven, no horsing around!

Sweet Sixteen

Reed and Willa’s parents celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on September 21st.  The sweetest sixteen years, especially with this goofy little duo!

Bee Sweet

Reed and Willa helped their parents with a late summer honey draw. While they didn’t gear up to get into the hives (the bees were a bit agitated that afternoon), they certainly helped with the processing of honey.  Including the most important part: quality control (tasting) and musical entertainment!

First Day of First and Fourth Grade

New grades, same grins.  Minus some teeth (Willa) and plus some brace (Reed).  And an outtake in which Willa demonstrates her very convincing fake nose pick!  Still just as silly and smiley as last year!

Green Lakes and Blue Skies

Reed and Willa, along with their parents, took a couple kayaks out on Green Lake on a bluebird day. Reed loved the paddling challenge and Willa took advantage of the sunbathing and napping potential of this peaceful place!

Watermelon Smiles

Our Wild Things at the Wild Animal Park

Willa and Reed spent a morning at the Wild Animal Park in Chittenango at the end of August and highlights of the adventure include feeding parakeets, deer, goats and giraffes and, of course, holding a baby kangaroo!

The Great NYS Fair

This year’s fair fun involved hours of bumping cars, jumping high, eating food on a sticks, meeting goats, riding through a haunted house and roller coastering and winning a giant pug in a water gun game. The pug, ironically, was named Squirt.  Here’s to another great time at the great NYS Fair!

Cascading into the End of Summer and Ten!

Reed celebrated his 10th birthday early with an end-of-the-summer waterpark adventure with his best friend (and little sister, too).  Reed, Miller and Willa played in the water at Cascades Waterpark for an afternoon and evening and then a later dinner out.  It was a wonderful celebration of a wonderful kid!
