The Best Times...

Are with the best friends. And Reed and Willa have the best of the best!

Winter Returns...

...with a vengeance and a series of snow storms. Fortunately, Reed and Willa like playing outside with the snow as much as playing outside without the snow!

Reed and Willa’s aunt and uncle, recognizing astutely their need to climb and move always, got them a slackline and tree swing to put out here on the farm. These two will soon be the strongest, swiftest farm-ninja-warriors around!

Winter Break?

This winter break brought us a warmer than usual afternoon so we took a hike/bike to our back fields to check on our bees! This taste of spring got us excited for warmer weather but still left us excited for more winter to come!

Great Wolf Lodging

After a visit to Niagara Falls, Reed, Willa and their parents settled into the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls for 2 straight days of water parks, arcade games, activities, MagiQuest, lots of delicious meals and a Mom-Daughter manicure at Scoops Salon! It was a magical few days and left us out of energy but full of memories.

Willa, Reed and their parents kicked off their winter break with a weekend trip to Niagara Falls! The wonders of our world finally got to see one of the wonders of the natural world and it was just incredible!

This is Six!

Six years old on February 18th, here in her birthday poncho. Every year they pick a birthday knit and this one is for my best girl who loves nothing more than being wrapped in a warm blanket on a cold day. From monster trucking to nail polishing to horseback riding, she’s done it on her own terms since day one. Reminding us everyday that where there is a Willa, there is a way and we’d have it no other way! Our hearts are full of love for this girl and because of her!

Handknits

At this age, Reed and Willa adore describing what they want to their Mom, who adores using yarn and needles to create it. A moose intarsia beanie and a fair isle poncho were this winter’s requests. Someday, they may not be so fond of their handknits but for now, they wear them with pride and delight!
