Little Dribblers

Basketball season has begun in South Onondaga and Reed has moved up to the 3rd-6th grade Skills and Drills program and Willa is now an official Little Dribbler.  Their parents have been “coaching” with this program for the last few years and this year is no different.   If you’re ever looking for our family on Sundays in the winter, the Wheeler Gym is where we will be!

Oh Christmas Tree

The first weekend of December, Reed, Willa, and their parents headed north to Goodman’s Tree Farm. We’ve been getting our tree here since before we had kids and  it’s incredible how every year, we manage to find our favorite, best Christmas tree ever!

A Tale of Two Seasons

These two are so different yet share so very much. At Camillus Park.

Believers ❤️

All aboard the Polar Express for our annual post-Thanksgiving trip from Utica to the North Pole.  The magic of the night keeps us all believing and hearing those bells!

Our Favorite Turkeys

So much to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving and every day!

Our Snow Angels...

...in the first snow of the season!

The Last Pickup of 2017

Willa stayed warm inside during the final pickup of our CSA regular season but Reed was happy to snuggle in for a couple photos and then snap one of his parents.

The First Crop of 2018

Got the mulch on and the garlic in.  The garlic is always the first planting of the next season.  Here’s to fall and faith and the farmers who make it all possible and the kids that learn so much from watching it all.

Snack Attack!

Our Wild Things on Halloween

Owl always love these two animals!

Two Years ❤️

Two years since Reed and Willa’s Pa passed away. We remembered him and his commitment to family and food, by cooking a meal for the families staying at the CNY Ronald McDonald House on 10/30/17.

Don’t Be Saddish...

...have a radish.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Fall practice.  Outside, in his favorite tee with a good straight wrist.  And that look of determination and focus on Reed’s face.  It gets us every time.

Slime Time

Willa would happily make slime every day. She’s become quite an experienced slime scientist and is constantly looking for new recipes and techniques!

Farm Kid Perk

Pumpkin picking in the greenhouse.

Her Favorite Soccer Position...

...is where ever her best friend is.

Onondaga Lake Parked

Reed,Willa and their parents spent a fall afternoon exploring this vast park with opportunities for adventure everywhere you turn.

Running Club

This fall, Reed joined the running club at Wheeler Elementary. He happily ran laps afterschool, burning energy and reconnecting with old friend who are not in his current class.  The running club is over for the season but Reed is looking forward to starting again in the spring!

Pumpkin Patched

This fall, Reed and Willa worked their way through a few local pumpkin patches, including Tim’s Pumpkin Patch and At the Hollow.  Reed hammed it up with heafty pumpkins and Both kids launched themselves off of hay bales!

Zipping Through Springside Farm

On a fall afternoon in early October, Reed,Willa and their parents visited Springside Farms. Here the kids zip-lined through the sky, rode the jug train, met a few other “kids” and worked their way though corn and pine tree mazes.  This annual trip is always high on our fall-bucket list and we are already looking forward to next year’s adventure!
