This Birthday Boy
Nine years ago on September 26th, a 4-pound little person stole our hearts and has never given them back. Every night as he goes to sleep, we tell him that out of all the little boys in the whole wide world, we’d pick him every single time. And we really would. Every single time. We love you and are so proud of you, Reed!
Nine is Fine
Reed celebrated his birthday multiple times during the week surrounding his special day. He had a family party, shared special cookies with his classmates and pizza with family friends and had a very special farm party with his besties. He invited his 3 best friends from his 2nd grade class (and Willa invited a friend, too) and they had snacks and cupcakes, played games, hit a piñata chosen especially for the party by Reed and took a hayride to pick pumpkins. After all the festivities, Reed and his crew spent a happy afternoon playing tag and hide and seek on the farm! 
An Apple a Day...
...keeps the doctor away and the kids happy and healthy. This year, with busy kids and busy schdeules, we didn’t get to go to the orchards as much as we would have liked but we certainly had fun when we did go. And Reed and Willa always claimed their spot at the front of the wagon so the can watch both the tractor and the trees!
Her First Love
Willa is incredibly enamored with Tommy, the older, gentle horse she rides each week at the stables. So enamored, in fact, that often she’ll be lost in thought and then say with a sweet sigh, “I wonder what Tommy is doing right now.” 
Make-up Party
When Willa and her mom have a few minutes of “girl-time”,Willa often askes to have a “make-up” party and is quite fond of gold eyeshadow and pink lip glass, in particular. Whether she’s made-up or not, she’s always our most beautiful girl❤️
