Here We Go!

Ready for a recent evening of water-sliding, wave-pooling, splashing family fun at the Cascades Indoor Waterpark!

This Kid...

...this smile.  We couldn't be prouder of Reed and our of all the little boys, who are quickly growing to be not-so-little, in the whole-wide-world, we'd pick him every single time💗

Tumbling Time

Willa recently completed a summer tumbling program at a local dance studio. She was "head-over-heels" excited to learn forward and backward rolls, balancing skills, flipping over the bar and supported handstand.  She's already looking forward to starting gymnastics again soon!

Eskimo Kisses...

....for a horse and watching the baby elephant at the zoo.  These are a few of Willa's favorite summer pastimes.

The Best....

Reed: "You know what I like the most about having a little sister?  Holding her sweet little hand."
Megan (melting): "Willa, what's the best part of having a big brother?"
Willa (without hesitation): "His monster trucks." 👊

Staying Cool

So Reed and Willa have very different personalities, which fortunately mesh very, very all most of the time. However, there is almost no better illustrayion of their differences than how they eat Popsicles.

The Treehouse Room's Farm Field Trip

Reed is delighted to have returned to the Treehouse Room at Jowonio for one last summer. His class was able to come to the farm for a field trip last week and the kids enjoyed picking and sampling tomatoes and green beans, gather flower bouquets to take home, eating a farm fresh salad and pizza for lunch and "driving" the tractors. Both Reed and Willa are so proud to live on our farm and love sharing it with their friends from school. Next year, Willa will finally be in a class at Jowonio that has a long enough school day for a field trip to our farm and she is already looking forward to it!

Ahoy, Mateys!

Willa and Reed attended the Pirate Day at the Maritime Museum in Oswego last week. Both kids dressed for the event and enjoyed a scavenger hunt, exploring the old vessels and boats and learning about the "Port City". Shiver me timbers, it was a fun and busy day!

More Splashing Down

Both Reed and Willa have not only enjoyed the water this summer but they've also enjoyed the various means of getting in the water. Reed is a fan of the "cannonball" while Willa likes to be thrown by her dad. No mater how they get into the water, they always manage to have a great time!

Our Little Fish!

Reed and Willa have been spending a lot of time swimming this summer and Willa is quickly gaining more confidence kicking around in her "swimmies". Reed has become a much stronger swimmer and recently has enjoyed the challenging of jumping in and swimming ot he bottom of the deep end to retrieve diving rings. In fact, on Saturday afternoon he was able to get all four of the diving rings in a single breath!
