Forever Joyful

Today and always. Merry Christmas to all our family and friends!

Celebrating the Unexpected....

...like bike riding in 45 degree weather on Christmas Eve and a rare moment of stillness in a puppy who is almost always in motion.

Letting their Light Shine...

...everyday in their own way.

Our Little Dribbler

No, no one is regressing back to teething.  Reed began playing basketball with the Onondaga Central Little Dribbler program.  He loves the drills and games and we are all getting used to the thump-thump-thump of a bouncing, dribbling basketball at home.

Breakfast with Santa

Reed, Willa and their parents enjoyed the annual "Breakfast with Santa" at the South Onondaga Fire Station.  Enjoying h the most delicious pancakes, sausage, eggs and toast has become a tradition for our family and meeting with the guest of honor is a highlight.  This year, both kids were brave and excited enough to pose with Santa and here is the proof :)

All Aboard...

...the Polar Express.  Leaving Utica Station, next stop: the North Pole!

Snow Days!

Reed got to experience his first "official" snow day as a kindergartener when the first N'or Easter of the season blew in to South Onondaga. Two days of heavy snow meant for lots of outdoor fun.  In fact, the snow was coming so fast, I only wanted to bring the camera out for a moment but did quickly capture these two snow angels in their glory!

Oh Christmas Tree, 2014

On a drizzly afternoon a few weeks ago, Reed, Willa and their parents made the annual journey up north to Goodman's Tree Farm to select our tree.  After many loops around the farm and Willa's typical 2-year-old range of emotions, we all finally settled into happiness and selected a tall, narrow tree that is just perfect for its spot in our home. Reed and Willa both helped to saw it down and Christmas 2014 was officially underway!

Snow Angels

The morning of Thanksgiving, both Reed and Willa were delighted to wake up to a (thin) blanket of snow.  While there was not a lot, there was enough to sled and play. And that we did.

Thankful...

...for family members near and far, who shared our Thanksgiving meal in person or in spirit.

First Tracks

Reed, his mom and Stella took a romp the day before Thanksgiving in one of our first snowfalls of the season.  Reed was thrilled to stomp in the snow with his favorite 4-legged friend and Stella was literally jumping for joy in the snow. Looking forward to a season of wintery adventures and snowy moments.

Hats Off...

...Or hats on.  Either way, Reed and Willa enjoyed an unseasonably warm and sunny afternoon at Shove Park last week.
