Dear Santa....

Love, Reed and Willa

55 in December

Two days ago, a warm front moved through and we got to experience some unseasonable temperatures. While we do love the snow, it was fun to run races in the grass and play in the sandbox before it is covered in a white blanket once again.

Good Sports

During the midst of all of the sweetness and holiday cheer, Reed and Willa continue to play and exercise their bodies to stay healthy. Reed recently returned to his micro indoor soccer team and both kids like their daily yoga practice.

Better Run as Fast as You Can

...'cause Reed and Willa will create and decorate your houses, Gingerbread men. Willa added a snowman to her masterpiece (no pictures because it was all I could do to manage decorating a house with her) while Reed left his personalized mark by drawing his family, complete with kitty, on his house. Too cute to eat <3

Decorations Galore

Despite our exhaustion after selecting, cutting, dragging and transporting our Christmas tree home, we persevered and persisted. We continued on with our holiday spirit, fueled by hot cocoa for the kids and egg nog for the parents, and finished decorating our tree.

Oh Christmas Tree 2013

A few weeks ago, we made our annual pilgrimage up to Goodman's Xmas Tree Farm in Phoenix to select and cut-down our Christmas tree. After a short hike around in the snow, Reed spotted the perfect tree, just waiting to be brought home and decorated.

Breakfast with Santa

We enjoyed our annual breakfast with Santa at the South Onondaga Fire Station earlier this month. While both kids loved the pancakes and sausage, Reed was much more fond of Santa than Willa. Maybe next year we will get a picture of them both with his jolly old self. This year, Reed flew solo on Santa's lap.

All Aboard the Polar Express

Reed, Willa and their parents took an evening ride aboard the Polar Express earlier in December. We boarded the train in Utica and rode round trip to the North Pole and back. Santa and his elves boarded at the North Pole and rode back with us. At the end of the ride, each child received a very special Xmas bell to remind them of the very special trip and the magic of Christmas.

Snow Angels

Outside everyday. That's how Reed and Willa play.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Reed, Willa, and their parents were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with a feast shared with both sets of grandparents and Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jenny. Weather and distance prevented the rest of the extended family from joining us but we were all together in spirit. So much to be thankful for this year <3
