On Friday, Willa was invited to spend the day in the Koala Room at Jowonio alongside her big brother. It was pajama day and Reed and Willa enjoyed playing together in the gym (ball pit!), dancing at the school-wide community sing-along, and sitting next to each other at lunch time while eating their lunches out of Reed's lunch box. Reed was so proud to show off his day and introduce his sister to his friends, and Willa was so delighted by the entire experience that she managed to hold off on taking her nap until the final few minutes when she passed out on her mother's arms.

It's Show Time!
Following our afternoon at the Farmer's Museum, we drove into Cooperstown where we met our good friends, Jen, Wyatt, and Aniela, Reed's best buddy. We grabbed a quick bite to eat and then caravanned to the Ommegang Brewery, where we enjoyed an outdoor concert on their lawn. We saw Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and both kids (and their parents) enjoyed the music and dancing. Willa particularly enjoyed the lights, the sounds, and the festivities of her first concert!
Farmers at the Farmer's Museum
Last week, our family took a long day-trip to Cooperstown, where we spent the afternoon at the Farmer's Museum. Reed appreciated the Cardiff Giant, antique farming equipment, the pick-up truck display, the authentic old buildings, helping to run the printing press, and the array of child-sized tractors. Willa was more interested in exploring the old houses (stairs to climb!) and the animals. And our entire family took a ride on a vintage carousel!
We Canoe, Can You?
On a recent afternoon, Reed and Willa joined their parents for an afternoon paddle on Labrador Pond. Willa is getting more comfortable on the water and Reed has expressed that he "loves, loves, loves canoeing". So do we all, Reedy!
Kicking Around This Summer
Reed has continued to play soccer this summer and has continued to love the sport. His Moo-Ba and Pa came to a recent practice, along with his biggest little fan, who never misses an opportunity to play ball or cheer on her brother.

Independence Day!
We spent the Fourth of July at Booba and Pa's house, where we were joined by Mooba and Pa, Uncle Bob and Aunt Wanda and Judy. We swam, Reed was chased by a "Dada-Shark" (see picture), and we all enjoyed a delicious BBQ meal together! While there were no fireworks, there was a lot of splashing and a few cannonballs!
Berry, Berry Delicious
Willa has discovered our patch of black raspberries near our house and has been spending her time picking and eating her way through the fruit bushes. Purple fingers, a full tummy and an empty berry basket are now the norm here.
