Don't Break the Ice!

Reed, Willa and their parents went out ice fishing on Otisco Lake yesterday. The sunny and still, cold winter Sunday afternoon made for the perfect conditions for the whole family to spend some time on the ice. Willa enjoyed exploring the snow and slippery conditions, while Reed helped to reel in his first, second, third and fourth fish caught ice fishing. Although all those Bluegill fish were caught and released, we all left with lots of great memories from a lovely afternoon.

Believe it or not, there are times when we don't have our camera there with us. However, our cell phones are usually there to record some of those precious moments that happen everyday. Here are some photos from this past summer, fall and this winter. They were taken with the Instagram app on an iPhone, so while the quality may not be great, we think the subjects are pretty special. I am going to try to post them so that the most recent is first (doing this via iPhone) and I will try to fill in captions later.

...or feet? Reed recently began Lil' Kickers, a youth soccer program, and Willa has been working on both standing and mastering her yogic squat (shown here by the wood pile). Go Team Luton!
